Remove XP Antimalware 2010, or ave.exe (XP Antimalware 2010, or ave.exe Removal)

XP Antimalware 2010 (or XP Antimalware, or ave.exe) Descriptions:

XP Antimalware 2010, also known as XP Antimalware, is just one more fake application designed to steal your money. It comes from the same family as Vista AntiMalware 2010 and Win7 AntiMalware 2010.

First, it scares you with fake scans and warnings, and then tries to convince you to purchase the rogueware. Don’t be deceived. XP Antimalware 2010 is neither able to detect, nor to remove anything from your computers. It’s just one more useless utility.

XP Antimalware 2010 usually gets into your computer through online scanners. However, it might access the system as you download a video codec, or you are looking for a way to download updates to your PC. In all cases, be extremely careful with this rogueware. Once installed, XP Antimalware 2010 won’t be friendly to computer users. It will do the following changes to your machine:

* change the home page of your PC;
* will start scanning your machine every single time you boot Windows up;
* will urge you to purchase the full version of the rogueware;
* might block some legible programs you use.

Always keep in mind that you must use a legible antivirus software. Never trust XP Antimalware 2010, and never download it to your PC.

In case, XP Antimalware 2010 is already installed on your computer, remove it using Malware Detection Utility. If you want to remove the rogueware manually, follow the removal instructions below.

Stopping a Process in Windows XP or Vista

Why would you need to kill a process in Windows XP or Vista? We sometimes need to stop a process to diagnose a system problem, such as removing Spyware or computer viruses. One of the easiest yet most efficient way to accomplish this is to use the built-in Task Manager in Windows XP or Vista. Here’s how you do it:

1. Press “Alt+Ctrl+Delete“, then click on “Task Manager“. You can also launch the Task Manager instantly if you press Ctrl + Shift + ESC simultaneously. This is much easier than accessing it from Ctrl + Alt + Delete or the taskbar. It works for both Windows XP or Windows Vista.
(Run Task Manager from the command line Windows XP : Start -> Run -> "taskmgr.exe" )
2. Select the process that you want to stop, then click on “End Process“.

It’s advised not to stop a system process. Stopping a system process can cause the computer to hang or freeze up.
